Commercial Content Manager

Berkeley Yeast strains are distinctive for their bioengineered traits. We’re currently looking for a Commercial Content Manager who can translate the value propositions addressed by these strains to the fermentation industry. As the Commercial Content Manager, you will work closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to create materials that effectively communicate the value propositions of our bioengineered yeast strains to the fermentation industry. This will involve actively seeking to understand customer needs and staying up to date on current trends within the industry. By translating complex scientific concepts into understandable language and developing useful documents, you will equip customers with the knowledge and resources they need to benefit the most from our products. Your work will not only impact the success of our company but also the industry as a whole as we continue to revolutionize the way beer and wine are made.
Key Responsibilities
— Drive content creation that effectively communicates our technology to external stakeholders. This will include presentations for sales and business development, technical white papers, data sheets, best practices, etc.
— Actively seek to understand customer needs; Crystallize and clearly communicate product value propositions, best practices, and technical support messaging; Translate complex scientific concepts into intelligent but understandable terms.
— Work with external design consultants to ensure all external-facing materials are accurate and of the highest quality.
— Stay current on trends within the fermentation industry, including attendance at industry conferences and occasional customer visits.
Required Qualifications
— Bachelor’s degree or higher in the biosciences
— Experience with fermentation
— Expert in written and oral communication
— Proven analytical skills, demonstrating the ability to interpret and synthesize data
— Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and change direction frequently.
— Great interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
— Three excellent professional references
Highly Desirable Qualifications
— Professional or home brewing experience
— Technical writing experience
Compensation and Benefits
— $60,000-$110,000 per year (compensation commensurate with education and experience)
